D.I.Y. Hotel Breakfast- Lovely Oatmeal

This is an easy and healthy breakfast to make for yourself when you are on the road. I find it really fills me up, so if the lunch situation is questionable I am fine to wait until dinner to eat properly.



Most hotels have a heating ring, or microwave to boil water for coffee. Heat water, add to oatmeal. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Add all your extras. Enjoy an energy filled, nutritious breakfast.


If you do not have to watch sugar, you can add raw organic dates, or sugary fruit such as bananas. I always like to add lots of fiber rich nuts and seeds like flax, sesame, and pepita. If you really want it to be tasty add a big dollop of coconut cream ( fine for diabetics). Delish!
