D.I.Y. Breakfast-One Shot Smoothie

This yummy smoothie can be a powerful start to any day. Blending your nutrients helps to break down cell walls to ensure better absorption of nutrients. Making this smoothie is an easy way to incorporate healthy eating when you are on the road for work or pleasure.



Blend all ingredients in blender until desired smoothness, adding more water if the mixture is too thick.


If I am really worn out I like to add 2-3 inches of ginger. This makes the shake have an intense flavour. I personally find the ginger is very energizing, like coffee. A nice combination with ginger is squeezed lemon and turmeric. By themselves those ingredients taste strong, but in a combination just taste like yummy Indian spice. I read that in China people chew ginger in the morning to get going with their day. Works for me!
