“Lilacs” was photographed in La Plaza Cultural, a New York City community garden in the East Village. Lilacs are edible; great in salads, frozen in ice cubes, and preserved on cakes. The season is very short, just around two weeks in the early Spring. Seeing those cute little flowers always makes me happy, because I know that Summer is on the way.
