Some may know me from my millinery business, Lisa Shaub Fine Millinery. What you may not know is that I have lead a secret life. Most of the time that I was making hats I was also teaching myself about herbal medicines and using food to heal.

Eating healthy is not about being rich, having maids to make the food for you, or being a trained nutritionist. Everyone can do it, and I want to help.
Let’s make it easy
Many people in my community are diabetic, pre-diabetic and are confused or too busy to eat healthy. I have created L.S.Livewell to break down the elements into easy to digest pieces. My recipes are low-carb and vegan, easy to make, with not too many ingredients. Every month I focus on a new topic such as Healing Elixirs, Soup Beautiful Soup, and Snacky Small Plates. I like to think I am in the kitchen with you showing you how easy and fast you can create delicious low-glycemic food for yourself and your people. I am looking forward to the happy, vibrant you that will appear in the mirror if I have my way.
About me and my stuff
I lead a busy life here in New York City. I am a creative person who has worked as an artist in a super competitive city for over thirty years. At my house I am an invested mom and family gal, cooking from scratch for my tween daughter, my husband, my extended family and friends. I read books( by Tolkien, Margaret Atwood, or Barbara Kingsolver among others), make my own face cream, (and ice cream) and grow food on my fire escape. I think it is as cool to live in a cabin in the woods with no electricity as it is to sit in a runway show for fashion week in N.Y.C.. I have worked with celebrities like Taylor Swift, Beyonce,and Tracy Morgan, been in Vogue Magazine, and know my way around cauliflower. Diet-wise I have been an on and off vegan, vegetarian and raw foodist for twenty years.
