- Category: Essential Oil Spray
- Method: Tincture
Ingredients
- Small spray bottle
- Essential oil of Lavender
- Water
- Apple blossoms of other edible fruit blossom petals
Instructions
Fill the spray bottle to 3/4 full. Add 20 drops of lavender and a teaspoon of fresh apple blossom petals. Shake. Keep in your purse, on your night stand, or in the refrigerator.
Notes
For extreme heat situations, such as night flashes, keep the bottle cooling in the fridge.
After a day petals will start to brown, so if you have not used up your spray, you can add new ones every day. After three days discard contents and start again. The petals in the water are a type of tincture, and have the benefits of enhancing your mood.
If you don’t have access to apple blossoms you can use cherry, or any other fruit blossom. Make sure that whatever petals you use are safe to be applied to the skin. An easy way to check is to rub the flower petal on the inside of your wrist and wait a half hour. If there is no reaction such as redness or inflammation, your petals are safe to use topically.
