The Holiday Raw Cheese Board- a yummy, guilt free party celebration on a plate.
This easy recipe is fun, delicious and creative. A raw cheese plate- totally vegan and dairy free. I want us to have a great diabetic and paleo option to pull out for those up coming holiday parties. My raw cheese recipe can work as a fast spread when you come home starving, or be mixed up into a fancy appetizer to serve to guests. Whatever way you make it, it is guilt free, and tasty fun.
Four simple ingredients
All you need is four ingredients: cashews, lemon, salt and brewers yeast, and a high speed blender. Brewer’s yeast is that yellow powder that you find in the groovy health food store. It is loaded with Vitamin B12, as well as cheesy flavor.
Here is a list of the nutrients in our recipe
Fancify
You know I am all about maximizing flavor. Here are some fun ways to create your Holiday Raw Cheese Board. Roll raw cheese into balls and cover the surface with herbs or spread on a cracker and add a topping. Serve with chili jam, fire roasted onions, or sliced pears.
Roll In– Dried rosemary, turmeric, crushed nuts, chia seeds, chili seeds, old bay spice mix, or smoked paprika.
Shmear– Use a low glycemic cracker such as Wasa or Finncrisp. Spread your cheese onto the cracker. Top with sauteed mushroom, sun-dried tomato, blistered shisito or your favorite olive.
Serve it up!
Keep refrigerated until serving. You might, like me, eat them all up before the party, so make enough. Whatever way you serve it- it is guilt free and tasty fun!

Holiday Raw Cheese Board- Diabetic, Vegan
A sumptuous array of raw vegan cheese appetizers. Perfect for a cocktail party, a family dinner, or just snacking in front of the TV. Dairy-free and raw, vegan, diabetic and paleo friendly
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup raw cashews You can use any other nut you have on hand. Try walnut, pine, macadamian, or brazil nuts.
- 2 tbl brewer's yeast
- 3/4 tea grey salt Use your favorite salt.
- 1 1/2 lemon squeezed
To roll your cheese- dried rosemary, tumeric, old bay seasoning, smoked paprika or crushed pepper.
Instructions
-
Blend your first four ingredients in a high speed blender. Add 2 tbl water if you like the consistency to be smooth. Remove from blender and place in refridgerator for ten minutes. Mixture should thicken. Roll into balls and then roll in your mix ingredients. Store in the refridgerator until serving.
Recipe Notes
You can also use the cheese as a spread on crackers. I like to use Wasa Flax crackers as they are fairly low carb( 15 g for 2 slices). I layer them with the cheese, and top with sundried tomato, olives, grilled mushrooms, or raw onion.
